About Edikan Moses
Edikan Ekanem AKA "Coach E," is a native of Lagos, Nigeria and a former Collegiate Athlete. Coach E has a great presence, unbelievable passion for teaching, and a strong-minded approach to the game!

The owner Edikan Moses is the outright 100% owner of 5 time Nigerian Basketball Federation (NBBF) Champions Lagos Islanders, a professional Nigerian Basketball club based in Lagos founded in 1984. The Lagos Islanders now play in the Basketball Africa Leauge (BAL), as the only representative in this prestigious competition from Lagos, Nigeria organized by the National Basketball Association (NBA). The Lagos Islanders used also play their home games at the Rowe Park Sports Centre in the Yaba area in Lagos, Nigeria. Now The Lagos Islanders play their home games at a much bigger & larger packed stadium arena venue 🏟️ due to severe crowd overflow and standing room only situations for the fans 🙃.

Edikan has a strong playing background; as a 2008 graduate of Tennyson HS (Hayward, CA), Edikan played Varsity basketball for three years and was very instrumental in the overall program's growth. Following Tennyson HS, he competed at West Valley College for two years, from 2008–2010. Coach E was invited to compete for the Santa Cruz Warriors NBA D-League team and was a 2012 finalist; additionally competing in the San Francisco Summer Pro-Am league and pursued professional basketball.He played overseas basketball professionally in a lot of European & Asians countries.
Joining BMG Academy in 2017, Coach E spent two years with the program prior to the pandemic. Having coached multiple levels in the program, he was very influential in player development, mentorship, and quality competitive performance. Spring 2024 Coach E re-joined the BMG/Soldiers family, embarking on the new journey as Silicon Valley Soldiers.
With a business marketing background, Edikan went on to do product data-analyst work for Instagram, and started a men's African clothing line, "Edikan Moses." Silicon Valley Soldiers is honored to have such a talented individual within the organization and look forward to the joint venture of growth.
